The organization gathers and makes publicly accessible hundreds of thousands of pages of court documents, news articles, and secret church archives, acting as a crucial historian for the survivor movement. Its comprehensive databases profile accused clergy, bishops involved in misconduct, and track the global timeline of the crisis, serving as an essential tool for survivors, journalists, scholars, and law enforcement.

Subject Matter has also awarded a $25,000 grant to Nuns vs. The Vatican to support the film's impact and audience outreach efforts to bring their film to more people.
